Keep VICIdial dialing, let an agent talk
Dograh is the self-hostable voice agent platform with an open-source workflow builder. VICIdial keeps pacing the list and hands answered calls to the agent over Asterisk ARI, while outcomes and do-not-call requests go back to the lead.
Answered, handled, written back
Answered calls cross over ARI
Remote agenta VICIdial seat on an outside line
VICIdial routes the answered call into the Stasis app Dograh generates, and the agent joins as a remote agent.
→ Switch on External PBX integrations first
Greet with the lead's own details
Lead Fields To CaptureVICIdial fields the prompt reads
Listed fields, such as a first name, arrive before the agent speaks. Each one adds a request during call setup.
→ List only the fields the greeting uses
Outcomes land on the lead
Disposition mappingeach outcome paired with a VICIdial status
Each outcome maps to a status code you already use. A do-not-call outcome mapped to DNC reaches the system-wide list.
→ Status codes run one to six characters
VICIdial paces, the agent converses
Pacing and the drop percentage stay where your team already sets them
If a lead update fails, the transfer or end of call still goes ahead
Self-hosted, the record of what each person heard stays with you
Check these before the agent takes a lead
- Drop setting inside the limitGenerally plan as if AI-handled calls still count as abandoned, and keep the drop percentage inside the limit.
- DNC mappedThe do-not-call outcome maps to DNC, so the number leaves every campaign and not just this list.
- Consent reviewed by counselAn AI-voice sales call to a mobile or home line generally needs prior express written consent.
- Opening kept shortA brief greeting, or a pre-recorded clip, gets the agent speaking sooner.
- Fallback in-group setTransfer Call picks an in-group from the call, with a fallback when none fits.
Add the agent without moving the floor
One report for people and AI
AI-handled calls show up beside human ones, under the status codes you chose.
Recordings on your servers
Self-host and each call's recording and transcript stay on infrastructure you run.
Open code on both sides
VICIdial is AGPLv2 and the agent platform is BSD-2, so your team can read both.
Models on your own keys
Pick any speech, language and voice provider, or run open-weight models yourself.

Outbound calling with an agent, guide by guide
Can VICIdial send answered calls to an AI agent?+×
Yes. The dialplan sends the answered call into Dograh's Stasis app over Asterisk ARI, and the agent takes it as a VICIdial remote agent.
How do do-not-call requests reach VICIdial?+×
Map the do-not-call outcome to DNC under Disposition mapping. The number then joins VICIdial's SYSTEM_INTERNAL list for every campaign.
Does an AI handoff count as a live representative?+×
No ruling settles it. Generally plan as if AI-handled calls still count toward the 3% abandonment limit, and ask counsel about your setup.
Can the agent pass interested leads to my reps?+×
Yes. Transfer Call sends them to a VICIdial in-group picked from what the agent learned, with a fallback in-group.
Do I still need VICIdial?+×
Keep it when people share the floor with the AI. For lists only the agent calls, Dograh Campaigns pace the calls without a dialer.
Is there a platform fee?+×
Self-hosted Dograh has no per-minute platform fee, but servers, model keys and phone minutes still cost money. Dograh Cloud charges a 1¢-a-minute platform fee.
Hand one in-group's answered calls to the agent.
Self-host in one command, or start on Dograh Cloud.
