01 / How it works

Three calls your offices stop juggling

Example
A student calls or your system starts the callthe agent verifies firstthe answer goes back to your records
01 · Admissions

Answer every inquiry from your own pages

Knowledge Baseyour program pages and deadlines

The agent answers from documents your office publishes and logs each caller in the admissions CRM before the call ends.

→ Never predict an admission decision

02 · Fees

Remind before the due date

HTTP API toolreads the balance mid-call

Once the student ID and date of birth match, the agent reads the amount and due date from your finance system.

→ Send payment plans to the bursar

03 · Support

Routine answers, and a safe exit

Transition Speechfixed words, never improvised

General questions come from your documents. Crisis words play your counselling team's wording, then transfer to staff.

→ Test crisis phrasings on a real phone

03 / Why own it

Student data stays inside your perimeter

Recordings on your servers

Self-host Dograh with self-hosted models, and call audio, transcripts and record lookups stay on campus.

Fewer parties to cover

Every outside company that hears a student's call is one more party FERPA's direct-control test has to cover.

No per-minute platform fee

Self-host the BSD-2 code and pay only for servers, phone minutes and any model keys. Dograh Cloud has a 1¢-a-minute platform fee.

70+ languages

Detect the caller's language for international applicants, with the greeting written in both languages.

Questions
Is Dograh FERPA compliant?+

FERPA's duties fall on the institution. Self-hosting Dograh with self-hosted models keeps call data on your servers, which makes direct control easier to show.

Does call audio stay on our servers?+

Only when you self-host Dograh and run the speech and language models there too. With hosted model keys, the audio reaches that provider.

How does the agent verify a student?+

It asks for the student ID and date of birth, and your own system checks the match before the agent reads any record detail.

Can it connect to Banner or our CRM?+

There is no prebuilt connector. Your systems connect through HTTP API tools, MCP tools, webhooks or tools like n8n, set up by your team.

Can the agent take tuition payments?+

No. An HTTP API tool asks your own system to send a secure payment link by text or email, and card numbers are never taken.

Will it tell applicants their chances?+

Never. It reads the published requirements and offers to book a counsellor, so every admission decision stays with staff.
