Bland migration

Rebuild your Bland agents on open source

Dograh is the self-hostable voice agent platform with an open-source workflow builder. Bland wants every production agent moved to Bland Agents by 15 November 2026, so rebuild yours once in Dograh and switch one number at a time.

01 / How it works

Export, rebuild, then switch

Example
Export pathways via Bland's APIrebuild them in Dograhtest on a spare numbermove your quietest number
01 · Export

Pull each pathway out of Bland

Get Single Pathwaynodes and edges as JSON

Bland's API returns each pathway's nodes, prompts and edge labels, plus your numbers, knowledge items and past calls.

→ Save call transcripts before you close the account

02 · Rebuild

Redraw it as a Dograh flow

Global Nodea shared prompt, not a step

Each Default node becomes an Agent node and each edge label a pathway condition. Bland's jump-anywhere global steps become extra pathways.

→ Or let Claude Code build it through Dograh's MCP server

03 · Switch

Move one number at a time

Inbound workflowthe save is the cutover

For a number on your own Twilio account, copy its voice settings, then save the Dograh agent as its inbound workflow.

→ Roll back by pasting the old settings into Twilio

03 / Before you switch

Run this before each number leaves Bland

  1. Export savedPathways, numbers, knowledge items and call records sit in your own files.
  2. Old settings notedThe number's Twilio voice settings are saved, ready to paste back.
  3. Agent publishedThe phone test reached the published version, not a draft.
  4. Transfer testedOn a real call, answered and unanswered transfers both end cleanly.
  5. Webhook checkedA real payload parsed, and a repeat delivery created no duplicate.
  6. Bland left runningKeep it live until every number has moved.
04 / Why it holds up

Rebuild once, on a platform you own

Pathways feel familiar

Calls are drawn as nodes joined by pathways, each with a written condition the AI reads.

You pick every model

On Bland's self-serve plans, calls run on Bland's own models. In Dograh, use Dograh's models, your own keys or open-weight models you host.

Rollback in one paste

Put the saved settings back in Twilio and the number answers on Bland again.

No platform fee self-hosted

Bland charges $0.14 a minute on Start, or $0.12 plus $299 a month on Build. Self-hosted Dograh has no per-minute platform fee; Dograh Cloud has a 1¢-a-minute platform fee.

Questions
Can I import my Bland pathways into Dograh directly?+

No. Dograh has no Bland importer. Export each pathway through Bland's API, then rebuild it by hand or have Claude Code build it through Dograh's MCP server.

Why move now rather than to Bland Agents?+

Bland wants every production agent on Bland Agents by 15 November 2026. Each agent gets migrated and re-tested either way, so it is a natural point to choose where.

How do I move a phone number from Bland to Dograh?+

Connect your own Twilio account to Dograh and set the agent as each number's inbound workflow. Numbers bought through Bland must be ported out to your carrier first.

Can I keep my Bland voice clone?+

No. A voice cloned on Bland stays there. Re-create it at ElevenLabs or Cartesia with the speaker's consent, then add the new voice ID in Dograh.

What does Bland keep charging while both run?+

Its plan fee, $299 a month on Build or $499 on Scale, and on Bland's telephony $0.015 per outbound attempt and per failed call.

Bland lists a BAA on Enterprise. What does Dograh offer for HIPAA?+

Generally, self-hosting: Dograh never sees the data, so no Dograh BAA is needed. Model providers and carriers may need one; confirm your position with counsel.

Does call transfer still work after the move?+

Yes. The Transfer Call tool hands the caller to a phone number. Transfers to a person work on Twilio only, and no call summary is passed.

Rebuild one pathway, then move your quietest number.

Self-host in one command, or start on Dograh Cloud.
