Eye symptom calls hear your doctor's words
Dograh is the self-hostable voice agent platform with an open-source workflow builder. Book exams and call overdue patients from your own recall list, while every symptom call hears your doctor's approved line and goes straight to a person.
Fixed words first, then a person
Your doctor's words, played as written
Transition Speechfixed text or a clip, word for word
A pathway from every step catches each symptom on your doctor's list, even mid-booking. The agent never says if a symptom is serious.
→ Record the line as a clip on speech-to-speech models
Ring the doctor at once
Transfer Callconnects only when someone answers
Set Pre-Transfer Message to No Message, since the fixed line already played.
→ Test it over a real phone line, not the browser
A second fixed line if nobody picks up
Transfer timeout30 seconds by default
The patient stays with the agent and hears your next approved line, such as going to the nearest emergency room.
→ Put this branch through the same phone tests
Where every answer comes from
No exam is named before a check such as date of birth
A workflow_run_id Preset Parameter lets the EHR ignore a repeated booking
Transfers can only be tested on a real phone call
Check these before the first patient call
- Symptom list signed off by the doctorFlashes, new floaters, a curtain over vision, sudden vision loss and eye injuries, tested in patients' own words.
- Recall list filtered firstDrop opt-outs and anyone already called today or three times this week. Campaigns have no per-patient cap.
- No offers on recall callsKeep frames and lens sales out, so the call stays about the overdue exam.
- Seller verification calls go to staffUnder the FTC Contact Lens Rule, eight business hours of silence counts as verified.
- Lens words in the DictionaryAdd terms such as toric and multifocal under the agent's Settings.
Fewer companies hear each patient call
Calls on the practice's servers
Self-hosted, Dograh never receives the call data, so the practice needs no BAA with it. Audio stays in-house only when the models run there too.
Open-weight models, fewer contracts
Host the speech and language models yourself and only the phone carrier, plus any cloud provider, sits outside.
No per-minute platform fee
Self-hosted Dograh charges none, though servers, model keys and phone minutes still cost money. Dograh Cloud has a 1¢-a-minute platform fee.
Every call on the record
Each transcript shows whether the emergency line played as written.

Every eye-care call, one guide each
Can the agent tell a patient if a symptom is serious?+×
No. It never judges a symptom or suggests treatment. It plays your doctor's approved line and transfers the call to a person.
What if nobody answers the transfer?+×
After the timeout, 30 seconds by default, the patient stays with the agent and hears a second fixed line, such as going to the nearest emergency room.
Who decides which patients get recall calls?+×
Your EHR's recall report, built from each doctor's order. The agent calls only the patients on that list and verifies each one before naming the exam.
Does self-hosting remove the need for BAAs?+×
It removes Dograh from the list. Open-weight models on your servers remove the model companies, leaving any cloud provider, plus the phone carrier if it stores call data.
Which practice software can it connect to?+×
Any system with an API your plan can use. Dograh has no built-in EHR integration, so HTTP API tools read and write during the call.
Can the agent confirm a contact lens prescription?+×
No. A seller's verification call goes to staff at once, or the request and its arrival time are written to your system.
Is there a per-minute fee?+×
Not when self-hosted. You still pay for servers, model keys and phone minutes. Dograh Cloud has a 1¢-a-minute platform fee.
Start with booking, and build the emergency line on day one.
